ARE LAB GROWN DIAMONDS REAL DIAMONDS?
Yes! Lab grown diamonds are chemically and physically identical to mined diamonds. Not to be confused with imitations such as Cubic Zirconia or Moissanite, your lab grown diamonds will last forever, just like mined diamonds. There really is no difference! We believe they are far more ethical than mined diamonds and the way forward in the diamond industry - choose made, not mined.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY JEWELLERY?
Caring for and cleaning diamond jewellery is essential to maintain its brilliance and longevity. Diamonds are durable, but they can still be susceptible to dirt, oils, and other substances that may dull their sparkle. Here's a guide on how to care for and clean your diamond jewellery:

Daily Care:
-
Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
-
Remove your diamond jewellery before using household cleaners or engaging in activities that involve harsh chemicals, as they can damage the metal settings.
-
-
Safe Storage:
-
Store your diamond jewellery in a fabric-lined jewelry box or a separate compartment to prevent scratches and minimize exposure to air and moisture.
-
-
Limited Contact:
-
Avoid touching your diamonds with your fingers. Natural oils from your skin can create a film on the diamond, reducing its sparkle.
-
-
Regular Inspections:
-
Periodically check the settings and prongs to ensure they are secure. Loose settings can lead to lost diamonds.
-

-
Weekly Cleaning:
-
Mild Soapy Water:
-
Prepare a solution of warm water and a mild, ammonia-free dish soap.
-
-
Soak:
-
Soak your diamond jewellery in the soapy water for about 20-30 minutes to loosen any dirt and oils.
-
-
Soft Brush:
-
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush or a jewellery brush to gently scrub the diamond and its setting. Pay attention to the back of the diamond where dirt tends to accumulate.
-
-
Rinse Thoroughly:
-
Rinse the jewellery under warm running water to remove soap residue. Be sure to use a mesh strainer or plug the sink to avoid accidental loss.
-
-
Pat Dry:
-
Gently pat the jewellery dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using tissues or paper towels, as they may scratch the metal or diamond.
-
Periodic Deep Cleaning:
-
Professional Cleaning:
-
Consider having your diamond jewellery professionally cleaned by a jeweller once or twice a year. They have specialised equipment to give your jewellery a thorough cleaning and check for any issues with the settings.
-
-
Ultrasonic Cleaner:
-
If your jewellery is free of other gemstones or fragile settings, you can use an ultrasonic cleaner. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and avoid using it for pieces with significant inclusions or fractures.
-
-
Steam Cleaning:
-
Steam cleaners are also effective for cleaning diamond jewellery. Again, make sure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and avoid using them for pieces with certain gemstones.
-
Remember to contact us if you have specific questions or concerns about your diamond jewellery. With proper care, your diamonds can maintain their brilliance for generations to come.
