HOW WAS OSTARA LONDON FOUNDED?

We come from very different walks of life, but the Founders San, Rosie and More met whilst working at the heart of the UK Diamond Industry in the London Diamond Bourse. With experience spanning every aspect of diamond jewellery and a wonderful friendship, our common love and many a frustration for the industry, resulted in the creation of Ostara London.

 

WHY DID WE START OSTARA LONDON?

When you live and breathe diamond jewellery, you can see through the common “tricks of the trade” and we were fed up with it. The juxtaposition of “luxury” and “gold plated”, “long lasting” and “vermeil” doesn’t sit right with us. Advertising shiny diamonds above small print detailing poor quality stones but a hefty price tag just isn’t fair on the customer - the devil is in the detail and we are proud of our “small print”! We only use D-F, VS diamonds and 18kt gold or 100% platinum.

There is a long journey bringing together natural elements to form a piece of jewellery, with many hand shakes in-between; we’ve worked really hard to minimise these to control our products and bring down our prices for our customers. 

These frustrations but adoration for our industry meant we had to do something about it - Ostara London went straight in to action.

WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT?

We only use the highest quality lab grown diamonds and metal. That means D-F colour, VS quality, Excellent cut diamonds and 100% platinum or 18 karat gold metal. Our diamonds are hand picked to match perfectly and our jewellery is made in our very own Ostara London workshop here in the UK. 

Our jewellery is designed to last. Sure, we want you to look after it, but we want you to wear it, enjoy it, live in it and hand it down! “Fast” fashion is not needed, particularly in the jewellery industry. 

Our designs are classic, we want them to be timeless and suitable for any outfit or occasion. We concentrate on "the big 5" essentials of a jewellery collection and think you should have them all! - Earrings, pendants, eternity rings, engagement rings and tennis bracelets.
